Workforce Australia Employment Services submission

Greater South East Melbourne (GSEM) has made a submission to Workforce Australia Employment Services inquiry.

The submission, which was created in partnership with jobs and skills experts in the southeast region, emphasises that the future prosperity of Australians depends on a skilled and adaptive workforce that is future focussed and responsive to the changing nature of work across the country's unique regions.

The submission acknowledges that jobs and skills training is vital, that employers can contribute by ensuring entry-level positions for young workers and being open to diverse employees but training by itself cannot adequetly address underlying structural job-market issues.
