Why we need more jobs

ABS released new figures yesterday showing that 2018 was the second year in a row that Cranbourne East experienced the largest population increase in Australia, equating to an extra 14,500 people.

Melbourne's south east is a great region to live, work, and enjoy free time, and this can be seen by the thousands of people to choose to make this region their home every year.

For SEM, one of our key priorities is to make sure that the south east has enough resources to keep up with this population growth. We need all three Governments to work together to ensure that infrastructure and jobs accommodate our residents now and well into the future.

By investing in projects that bring jobs closer to where our residents live, we can reduce congestion, increase employment and reduce social disadvantage.
